Angels on Mission is a nonprofit organization founded with a singular purpose: to bring life-saving medical care to the people of Peru. In many regions of the country—especially remote and underserved areas—access to consistent, quality healthcare is limited. Hospitals are under-resourced, communities are overlooked, and preventable conditions often go untreated.

We saw this need—and decided to act.
What began as a small idea has become a growing movement of compassionate physicians, nurses, healthcare workers, and volunteers committed to closing the healthcare gap in Peru. Our mission is simple but powerful: to connect dedicated medical professionals with communities in urgent need of care.

Through organized medical missions, Angels on Mission sends teams of volunteer physicians to Peru, where they collaborate with local hospitals and clinics to provide essential services. These missions include everything from general check-ups, surgical procedures, and maternal care to health education, training for local staff, and the delivery of critical medical supplies.

But our vision goes beyond temporary assistance. We believe in building relationships, sharing knowledge, and empowering communities to sustain long-term improvements in health outcomes. Every mission is an opportunity to listen, to learn, and to uplift—not just to serve.

Our name, Angels on Mission, reflects the spirit we bring to every effort: a heart full of compassion, a commitment to healing, and a belief in the power of humanity to rise above borders and barriers.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Angels on a Mission was created by Lisette Scholz, a proud Peruvian and a woman of deep faith, who believes her purpose in this life is to serve others with love, humility, and compassion. Guided by God’s hand, Lisette follows a quiet calling to find those who are hurting, forgotten, or in need of hope—from homeless patients walking out of ERs barefoot, to foster children needing warm clothes, to children in Peru who light up when they receive a simple Christmas gift.

This mission is not just a nonprofit—it’s a calling. We bring together physicians, volunteers, and kind-hearted souls to serve communities in both the U.S. and Peru. Every act of care, every pair of shoes, every gift, every moment of presence is a reflection of something greater: God’s love in action. We are here to walk with the broken, lift the weary, and remind every soul we meet that they are not alone. Because when you’re on a mission of love, you follow the path—even if it’s only lit by faith.
